Extracurricular & Curricular Band / Drumline

Instrumental Music @ BMHS

Battle Mountain High School is pleased to offer curricular and extracurricular opportunities for instrumental music.

Students can enroll in Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, String Orchestra, JV Drumline, Varsity Drumline, or Guitar I/II classes.

All ensemble classes have an extracurricular component as students have performances that are outside of the school day. Varsity Drumline averages one performance a week while JV Drumline, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and String Orchestra have 2-3 performances a semester.

Classes are open to all except Wind Ensemble (audition required), Varsity Drumline (audition required), and Guitar II (must pass Guitar I or pass an audition). Most students in our ensemble classes have some experience on their instrument, but motivated beginners are welcome. School instruments are available for rental.

Extracurricular Pep Band (fall)/Jazz Band (spring) meets once a week on Wednesdays after school from 4-5 pm in the band room. All levels of experience are welcome!
